Puglia
Welcome to Puglia! The sun-drenched heel of Italy
We fell in love with Puglia for its simple magic: olive trees older than time, whitewashed villages glowing in golden light, dinners under the stars, and that warm Italian way of making everyone feel like family. It’s a place where life slows down, the sea sparkles a little brighter, and every day ends with good food and great wine. Think aperitivo in tiny piazzas, long lunches that turn into early evenings, homemade pasta, and heartfelt hospitality.
Early September in Puglia
If you’re wondering what to expect in early September: sunshine! Days are warm (around 27–30°C), the sea is perfect for swimming, and the summer crowds have drifted home. Think long, lazy afternoons by the coast and balmy evenings outside—bring sunglasses and a light sweater for late nights, but mostly: bring your summer mood.
The vibe
Puglia is beautifully simple. Life happens outside – on terraces, at the beach, in vineyards, on historic streets where laundry hangs between stone balconies. From slow mornings with espresso to late-night conversations over Primitivo wine, this is a place made for connection, laughter, and memory-making.
Places worth wandering
If you have a little time to explore before or after the wedding, we promise these spots are worth a visit:
Polignano a Mare: dramatic cliffs, crystal blue water, postcard views
Locorotondo: one of the most beautiful villages in Italy
Ostuni: the “white city” overlooking the Adriatic, perfect at sunset
Monopoli: charming seaside town with a historic harbour and great seafood
Alberobello: famous for
its fairytale trulli houses
